Not entirely satisfied with the highlighting on the action figures as I left it til after basing them together, which was a mistake. I found it too difficult to get the brush in between the middle and firing figures, so their breeches are a little too streaky. I'll try again and take a little more care this time, but I'm satisfied with the rest of them, especially the NCO.

Here they are, finished!

Dito about the NCO, but there's always 1 that's really outstanding in the batch.
ReplyDeleteapart from your remarks these represent a pretty nice unit in my book, well done and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCheers Sander
They do look a fine bunch of fellows!
ReplyDeleteVery cool unit, I'd be happy with them.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteI really like them, the "mud effect" on the trousers is great!
ReplyDeleteGood stuff - that parcel was sent today.
ReplyDeleteAn unusual unit and in my opinion done very well!
ReplyDeleteOh I say theses are a bit good!
ReplyDeleteDid you dip these? They look darker than in the last post.
ReplyDeleteYes, I use a wood-stain varnish, but I was a bit heavy handed in the application and they turned out darker than I intended. I've since highlighted the cross-belts and dry-brushed another coat of white on their breeches.
DeleteThanks all!
ReplyDeleteThey look a lot darker in the photo than in the flesh (so to speak!) and I've since added another highlight layer. I'll post some more pictures soon.
They look great; I think you've done fine work on these. Best, Dean
