Dashing Dons #4

Almost there!

They've all been mounted on their steeds and had the Aldi varnish applied. They've been based and the texture added around the horses hooves.

They will have the flock and static grass added and a light dusting of matt varnish applied, then they'll be ready for the table-top tomorrow night.

FYI the yellow I used was Citadel Golden Yellow on a black undercoat

  9. That yellow's turned out rather well. How many coats did it take?

    1. One coat over the black undercoat, a layer of brown varnish, then a tiny bit of highlighting esp. on the riders' legs and arms.

  10. I can but add another note of congratulations Ben. I especially like the fella sans hat. That's a head swp, isn't it?

    1. Yep, he's another head conversion using a Lancier Bleu head. There's a range of different heads available including bicornes, wounded and bare. I bought them from MBM hobbies in the Netherlands. There's a link in the retailers section in the right hand column.
